GREAT DECISIONS AT THE LIBRARY
MARCHMAY 2009
BIAHC and the Bainbridge Island Branch of the Kitsap Regional Library invite you to participate in a series of eight free, drop-in Great Decisions discussions on select Saturday mornings in March, April and May. You are welcome to attend one, some, or all of the programs. We will gather on the dates below, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., in the library's large meeting room at 1270 Madison Ave. N.
Co-sponsored locally by BIAHC and the library, Great Decisions is a nationwide program of the Foreign Policy Association, an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening public involvement with the most important foreign policy issues facing the United States. The annual series features a DVD on each day's topic, followed by an open discussion. For interested participants, the Foreign Policy Association also provides a briefing book, available at the Bainbridge Public Library, or for purchase from BIAHC. The briefing book contains several articles on each topic and references for further reading.
Enjoy refreshments while viewing the day's Foreign Policy Association DVD of a conversation between two experts on the topic to be discussed. Then, take the conversation into the morning with fellow community participants.
