1) WHAT DOES BIAHC DO?

The Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council’s mission is to create an environment in which the arts and humanities flourish. We implement this goal in a variety of ways, including supporting existing arts and humanities organizations through training, funding, and coordination; BIAHC also has a variety of its own programs and partnerships (For BIAHC programs and events, click here). 2) DOES BIAHC ONLY SUPPORT OTHER ORGANIZATIONS/EVENTS, OR DOES THE COUNCIL HAVE ITS OWN PROGRAMS/EVENTS?

BIAHC provides a number of funding opportunities for both individuals and organizations. For funding possibilities, please click here. BIAHC also offers consulting and facilitating assistance to individuals and organizations.

 

 

4) HOW ARE BIAHC PROGRAMS FUNDED?

BIAHC programs are funded through a combination of Federal, State, and City allocations, and through the private sector via grants and contributions. BIAHC also earns money through contracts and admissions. 6) WHAT IS THE CULTURAL ELEMENT?

The Cultural Element is one portion of Bainbridge Island’s Comprehensive Plan, required in each city by the State of Washington.
